Corporate Profile

Siddharth Logistics is an established logistics service provider that has successfully carried out logistics assignments for numerous edible, base oil and petroleum importing companies in India. We have an established network of contacts and key industry alliances that allow us to provide our clients with a labour, time & cost effective logistics solution. Our services are also offered through India's leading petroleum marketplace called Petrosilicon.com (www.petrosilicon.com) with which we have a logistics alliance.

Our offering sets in motion a system for delivering a comprehensive spectrum of logistics services to petroleum importing companies. Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) represents the single most compelling phenomenon for many companies worldwide. Sourcing and Distribution costs in a manufacturing environment, account for more than 45-80% of the total cost. Companies would therefore outsource this function to be more effectively managed and thus reduce overheads. Companies also gain in terms of better customer service due to enhanced efficiency levels in logistics and resultant on time deliveries by the collaborators conducting these activities.

About Logistics

Logistics is officially defined as the process of planning, implementing and controlling the efficient and cost-effective flow and storage of raw materials, in-process inventory, finished goods and related information from the point of origin to the point of consumption, for the purpose of conforming to customer requirements.

More simply, it is the science (and art) of ensuring that the right products reach the right place in the right quantity at the right time to satisfy customer demand. The UK Institute of Logistics and Transport defines it even more succinctly as: "the time-related positioning of resource". It has also been defined as "the management of inventory in motion and at rest".

The marketing discipline encompasses warehousing, distribution and information management. It also includes international supply chain management and added-value/pre-retailing services
